Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed B2B SaaS company modernizing an industry that technology has largely passed by. Having recently closed a strong Series A from a top-tier institutional investor, the company is scaling quickly, already serves hundreds of customers nationwide, and is building an AI-native go-to-market organization from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage, work directly with founders and executive leadership, and help define how a modern, AI-first revenue engine gets built.

Role Overview

The company has built a small marketing team it’s proud of, one that’s laying a strong foundation. What’s missing is someone with a revenue mindset to lead that group day to day and own the piece none of them focus on today: turning marketing into pipeline. The Head of Revenue Marketing will run marketing, lead a small and genuinely talented team, and personally own demand generation and growth — a hands-on role as much as a leadership one, especially early on. Some hours are spent setting strategy; others are spent building a campaign or wiring up a follow-up sequence directly.

This is not a generalist role measured in shipping campaigns and creative — it’s measured in pipeline and bookings. The Head of Revenue Marketing will work closely with the head of sales and marketing, who owns the overall number, and will be the person who helps generate it and pulls the whole marketing function in that direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline & Growth: Own marketing’s contribution to pipeline and bookings, and figure out how to grow it — some quarters that’s paid, some quarters it’s a sharp follow-up to a trade show, webinar, lifecycle program, or a channel not yet tried. Start from the number needed and work backward to the best way to get there.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the content, design, and events team, with a likely fourth Product Marketing hire down the road. Set direction, clear roadblocks, and make sure everyone’s work adds up to coordinated, complementary revenue impact.
  • Sales & RevOps Partnership: Work with sales daily and with RevOps on the systems and reporting under the funnel — own the programs that create pipeline while RevOps owns tooling and measurement, and sharpen outbound targeting, sequencing, and measurement of what’s working.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Bring together the events calendar, content roadmap, and outbound sequences into one coordinated push instead of three teams working past each other.
  • Building for What’s Next: Lay the groundwork for a bigger marketing org — hit this year’s numbers while building the habits, hires, and systems to scale.

Ideal Experience

  • Thinks like a salesperson — cares about pipeline and dollars over impressions, and wants a comp plan with upside tied to results.
  • Flexible across channels rather than wedded to one playbook; has generated deals through more than one motion, not just a single specialty for a decade.
  • Hands-on demand gen experience across more than one channel, with a strong sense of what healthy CAC looks like in B2B.
  • Can lead and still do the work personally — has managed people and can think at a VP level, but isn’t afraid to open the tools and build campaigns directly.
  • Leads senior people well by setting clear direction and removing friction, not by micromanaging.
  • Works well across sales, RevOps, content, design, and events — sees themselves as part of the revenue engine, not a service function.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, messy data, and shifting priorities in an early-stage environment.
